Make eating a salad something you crave by adding country ham!
Ingredients and Method
Ingredients
- 10 oz. package fresh spinach
- 1 red onion
- 1/4 lb. cooked ountry ham diced or cut into strips
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1 tsp. celery salt
- salt and pepper to taste
Direction
Wash and drain:
- 10 oz. package fresh spinach
Slice into rings:
- 1 red onion
Cut into strips or dice:
- 1/4 lb Clifty Farm Country Ham
- Next, toss lightly with spinach. Make this dressing to be poured over salad at the very last minute.
Dressing:
Mix:
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 6 Tbsp sugar or less, to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1 tsp celery seed
Garnish with:
- 2 sliced hard cooked eggs
- seasoned croutons (optional)
- Use your imagination, add a little lettuce, pickled beets, cherry tomatoes, and julienne strips of cheese.
