Country Ham Slices

Storing Shelf Stable Product image

Storing Shelf Stable Product

Our vacuum-packaged products are shelf stable and do not require refrigeration. Packages can also be refrigerated or frozen for up to one year. Refer to the “best by” date stamped on the package for best quality. Once the vacuum seal is broken, refrigeration is required, and the ham will need to be used within a week or frozen.

Cooking

If country ham is too salty for you, for a milder flavor, we recommend you soak it in water or cola for approximately 30 minutes before cooking.

Fry

Wait to trim any excess fat from your ham slices after frying. Add a small amount of water and cola to your skillet (optional), and place your ham slice in the skillet. Cook slowly on medium-high heat. Turn slices frequently over the next 4-8 minutes. Do not over-fry your ham for the best result. View recipe
